THE IMPORTANCE OF LIFE-SKILLS

The WHO ( World Health Organisation) has defined life-skills as ” the abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.”
UNICEF ( United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) describes life-skills as behaviour development designed to empower young minds to balance knowledge, skills and attitude.
In short, life-skills enable individuals to take positive action to protect themselves and promote health plus positive social relationships. But nobody teaches us these crucial skills in schools and colleges. Even parents fail to impart these important teachings because they themselves have not undergone training.
As a result, we have untrained, weak minds negotiating relationships, careers, families and important decision-makings.   TO LEAD AN EMPOWERED LIFE OF SUCCESS WITH A FAIR AMOUNT OF LOVE AND RESPECT FROM ALL QUARTERS, ONE MUST UNDERGO THE LIFE – SKILLS PROGRAMME.
